Today's surprise
The crocuses showed up this afternoon. I hadn’t even noticed their foliage peeking through the mulch, then poof — lavender flowers popping up everywhere. This early warm spell won’t last. It is, after all, the middle of February.
But when the crocuses open for business, I know that spring is close enough to start talking about.
